Yes - I love this!! Steal a plot and fuck it up! (Also, I love all of all of the fiber/knitting references, especially the Icelandic sweaters I saw on one slide and, of course, teaching a tiny kiddo to knit!!)
I love, love , LOVE this presentation!! It is soooo interesting to hear about the backstory and the broader picture of how your graphic novel is being developed. Thanks for sharing this. Big hugs!!! Your Aunt 💖
This is wonderful!! Your story about getting into graphic novels is SO similar to my own. As an undergrad creative writing major with a passion for art, I want nothing more than to find my way to Vermont like you and do the hard hard work of learning how to make graphic novels of my own :) Someday! Thank you for sharing, thank you for being an inspiration, and thank you always for your wonderful art!!
I really enjoyed your presentation! it sounds like you definitely put your own spin on the book by pulling from so many different inspirations and experiences, and it's always nice to see a familiar, well loved plot in a new light :) looking forward to future updates!
We finally got the chance to see this after coming home from Wenatchee (had trouble getting it to actually show the video on a phone screen). We're so impressed by your presentation and everything it means. The final screen, of course, made me cry. I remember the pages and pages of your early art, specifically the tracings of your hand, rainbows, and kitty-up-the-stairs that we kept for years. I love it! The whole thing. We're so very proud of you!

I'm so excited for this project and for you!
